'Buffy' lives on Bad Detective: Food Chain [Uncut]-- in Sarah Michelle Gellar's Instagram, and in a box of DVDs I still have at my parent's house (sorry Dad).
The actress shared rare photos from Buffy on her Instagram Wednesday, tying their release to International Women's Day and the show's 21st anniversary.
This is one PR stunt we can all get behind.
SEE ALSO: For some reason John Krasinski is like totally down to reboot 'The Office'"I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the anniversary of #btvs is the same week as #internationalwomensday. I have always believed that the world is changed by your example, not by your opinion," Gellar wrote in her post.
Gellar went on to quote the show.
“From now on, we won’t just face our fears, we will seek them out. We will find them, and cut their hearts out one by one. There is only one thing on earth more powerful than evil, and that’s us.”
I don’t think it’s a coincidence that the anniversary of #btvs is the same week as #internationalwomensday. I have always believed that the world is changed by your example, not by your opinion. We have all learned a lot from Buffy, and the best part is, that never ends. “From now on, we won’t just face our fears, we will seek them out. We will find them, and cut their hearts out one by one. There is only one thing on earth more powerful than evil, and that’s us” Scroll through for some behind the scenes pictures, then and now (hopefully there will even be some you have never seen) #buffyslayday
To see the rest of the photos, you'll need to scroll through them by clicking on her Instagram above.
As of now there's no Buffy reboot in the works, though the show will have new adventures in the form of Slayer, an upcoming Young Adult book series to be released by Simon & Schuster.
We Xennial fans will take what we can get.
