The show will tie the group's history in with it's current circumstances, including the founder's arrest and allegations against Mack of sex trafficking.

NXIVM's front was as a self-help and women's empowerment group (at least that's how Mack pitched it to Emma Watson) but allegedly involved sex trafficking and other forms of abuse. As part of the documentary, cult expert Rick Alan Ross will help Edmondson and Ames reintegrate themselves into their old lives and appeal to remaining members of NXIVM.
As Vulture notes, both will likely be asked to testify against Mack in her upcoming court proceedings, so expect to see coverage of that aspect as well.
