The latest in a series of "blip" animations, this new short shows BB-8 meeting BB-9E for the first time, and it's not robot love at first sight.

Aside from giving us another look at how the newest Star Warsdroid rolls, we also get to hear what BB-9E sounds like, and it's appropriately dark and muted, just like its exterior. And along with those dark tones is a surly demeanor, a fitting contrast to the always chipper BB-8.

Upon the reveal of the new droid last week, Rian Johnson, the director of the upcoming Star Wars: The Last Jedi (which will feature the new droid), took to Twitter to drop the on-set nickname of the new character.

BB-H8 would've been perfect, but probably a little too on the nose.

Now all we have to do is wait to see if BB-9E's sinister undertones play a significant part in the plot of the next installment of the Star Warssaga.
