Just ask Jerick McKinnon, running back for the Minnesota Vikings. On Sunday, McKinnon took to the field for warmups with his very own pair of Harmabe-inspired football cleats.

Though the gorilla was killed in the Cincinnati Zoo, the Minnesota Vikings seem to have a strange obsession with the gorilla. During week one, they shouted "Spoons out for Harambe" prior to hitting the field.

What "Spoons out for Harambe" means, no one exactly knows, except for maybe Harambe.

Sadly, McKinnon will only be able to wear his themed cleats during pre-game and off the field, as the NFL does not allow customized cleats during games.

Though it has been months since the gorilla died, Harmabe memes and jokes continue to live on. At the Republican National Convention this summer, a protestor was spotted carrying a sign that said, "Bush did Harambe."
