It's become something of a trope for superhero movies to introduce costume revisions with each sequel released. Will Wonder Woman 2buck that trend? Or is this just Gadot engaging in some effective hype-building, with a side of light misdirection?
We know the Wonder Womansequel jumps ahead in time, leaving behind the first movie's World War I setting in favor of a 1980s adventure. In the new movie, Gadot's Diana Prince will face off against the classic Wonder Woman villain Cheetah, played by Kristen Wiig.
Also, Chris Pine's Steve Trevor is back. Somehow?
Wonder Woman 2-- the official title has yet to be revealed -- was originally set to hit theaters in Dec. 2019, but Warner Bros. altered its plans late last year, moving the movie's release up by six weeks. The sequel will now hit theaters on Nov. 1, 2019.
