It's been 108 years since the Chicago Cubs1+ Archiveswon a World Series. Their fans can't wait much longer.
Luckily for them, Dexter Fowler isn't interested in waiting, either.
Three pitches into the first inning of Game 7 on Wednesday night, the Cubs leadoff hitter smacked a home run over the center field fence.
His big fly off Indians ace Corey Kluber put the Cubs up 1-0.

Fowler is the first player to leadoff a winner-take-all World Series game with a home run.
Not a bad way to get things started.
