“I did the math in my head, and it took $500,000 to a million just to make it,” artist Aaron Axelrod told the Times. “This caught me off guard. It’s one of the coolest pieces I’ve ever seen, which is kind of annoying because it’s Kanye West.”

Here are some likely scenarios regarding who might purchase the work of art:

• Taylor Swift, who swiftly melts the whole thing, turning the sculpture into hundreds of candles with quaint smells like vanilla latte, freshly washed linen and the blood of her enemies.

• One of Kanye's heroes, the reanimated corpse of Walt Disney, emerges from that cryogenic chamber and buys it to update the It's a Small World ride.

• Noted tech billionaire and celebrity sex tape expert Peter Thiel as part of his next revenge plot.

• Kim Kardashian West, who is very good at making money, purchases the work of art for her husband as a romantic gesture.

• Elon Musk sends it to space.

• Drake buys it, gets rid of everyone but Rihanna and commissions a wax figure of himself with which to spoon his love.

Before the piece ends up in its forever home, Blum says the moving sculpture will be on display in at least one other location, possibly a museum, which is great news if you're on the fence about making a purchase.
