The Semi-dokyumento: Tokkun Meiki DukuriPixel 8 isn't even six months old yet and we're already seeing leaks of the Pixel 9.
Shared as a collaboration between X user @OnLeaks and 91mobiles, leaked renders of the Pixel 9 appeared online this week.
The good news is that it still looks like a smartphone, so Google isn't doing anything too crazy. The bad news (depending on your taste) is that Google made it look a little more like an iPhone 15.

To be more specific, Google went with flat sides as opposed to the rounded ones it used before. The edge-to-edge camera bar that defined the last few Pixel phones is also gone, replaced by a pill-shaped protrusion that could ruffle the feathers of those who liked the way the previous Pixel models looked.
Perhaps the most important (and most universally welcome) change, though, is the addition of a third camera lens to the base Pixel 9. Previous base Pixel phones have only had two, but the 91mobiles report suggested the Pixel 9 could come with a telephoto lens.
If Google is able to bring some of its zoom lens magic from the Pixel 8 Pro to the base Pixel 9, that could be a huge value add.
As always, though, we'll have to wait until this summer to get the real scoop on the latest Pixel phones.
