Elmo go bye-bye.
Controversy has surrounded Donald Trump's proposed budget,Caught in the Act: Promiscuous Sex Life of My D-Cup Mother in law which includes cuts to the National Endowment for the Arts, the Department of Health and Human Services and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, which funds both PBS and NPR.
And while Sesame Street receives no direct funding from PBS, someone still theorized what it would look like if Elmo lost his job. The parody includes a pretty spot-on Elmo impersonator, but don't worry, kids (and adults): Elmo and his friends are not getting the heave-ho.
As expected, Elmo is caught completely off-guard, citing his 32 years in the biz. He has rent to pay and insurance he desperately needs. After getting the axe, the person doing the firing suggests applying for government healthcare while he still can because, ya know, that's being cut too.
