BYD is Taro Kai Archivesbuilding its production and government relations teams in Hungary, and is currently on a hiring spree for equipment engineers to maintain its new battery assembly lines, according to job posts seen by Chinese business newswire CLS. The Chinese electric vehicle giant is also searching for a government affairs director to carry out local investment and business operations, the report said, listing the latest aspects of BYD’s plan to build a battery plant in the Eastern European country. This comes after Péter Szijjártó, Hungary’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade, announced on June 28 in BYD’s Shenzhen headquarters an investment plan to build a Ft 10 billion ($30 million) battery pack plant near Budapest, as reported in Hungary today.
