Real life princess, imo sex videos committed humanitarian and sartorial influencer par excellence, Princess Diana is finally getting the memorial statue she deserves. All thanks to her kids.
Prince William and Prince Harry announced over Twitter that they've commissioned a memorial statue for their mum, saying in a joint statement, "It's been 20 years since our mother's death and the time is right to recognise her positive impact in the UK and around the world with a permanent statue."
Fingers crossed that it captures her well. Not all statues successfully honour our beloved icons, you know. Statues of Lucille "Scary Lucy" Ball and "the Bronze Fonz" come to mind.
Princess Diana's two sons were 15 and 12 when their mother was killed in a Paris car crash, along with her partner Dodi Al Fayed in August of 1997. The Princes have privately raised funds for the project, alongside other people including her sister Lady Sarah McCorquodale, according to the Evening Standard.
The statue will reside in the public gardens of Kensington Palace, the place she used to call home.
"Our mother touched so many lives," the statement continued. "We hope the statue will help all those who visit Kensington Palace to reflect on her life and legacy."
Let's all say a silent prayer that the statue does justice to the "people's Princess" and doesn’t end up looking creepy like those royal family wax figures.
