One Republican party member is Singapore Archivesnot staying silent on their anti-LGBT platform.
Last week, Anne Dickerson, a delegate from New York, took a moment to call out discrimination against same-sex marriage and adoption during a platform committee meeting before the Republican National Convention.

During an amendment discussion, Dickerson called out platform language that would lead to discrimination against LGBT couples who wish to adopt children.
"This is an other poke-in-the-eye to the gay community," Dickerson said.
In addition, Dickerson said, certain assumptions on the amendment, such as a traditional two-parent household accounts for more physically and emotionally healthier children, is "outrageous, zero-evidence, horrible research that was conducted in 2010 before [same-sex] marriage was allowed."
"This is outrageous to suggest that children of a gay couple are more likely to be completely imbalanced and use drugs in droves and be criminals." Adding, "Stop repelling gays for god's sakes."
According to The Hill, Dickerson then moved to strike the language from the platform, which was rebuffed by rest of the committee. However, one other committee member, Rachel Hoff, the only openly gay member in a 112-person committee, joined Dickerson with a speech that pleaded to include softer, more inclusive language.
Perhaps progress is possible.
