Actress Bella Thorne,An Affair – Young Stepmother (2019) who tweeted in 2017 that she was molested, has elaborated in an Instagram post tied to Sunday's Golden Globes and the Time's Up initiative in Hollywood and beyond.

"Over and over I waited for it to stop and finally it did," she wrote of her childhood abuse. "But some of us aren't as lucky to get out alive. Please today stand up for every soul Mistreated."

Thorne shared an Instagram post Sunday evening which said she was physically and sexually abused until age 14, "...when I finally had the courage to lock my door at night and sit by it."
