The The Intern - A Summer of LustSims 4has been out for two years--two long years spent without screaming, joyful toddlers. But developer Maxis released a free update today, to the joy of many expectant fans.
Toddlers aren't new to the Simsuniverse, but they are in The Sims 4, and fans have been vocal about their requests for them. "We know that the toddler life stage is an experience that many of you have consistently asked for, and it's very important to us that as we do it in a way that makes sense for The Sims 4, and feels right for our players," the team said today.
Maxis previously explained why they couldn't yet include toddlers, which mostly boils down to resources and needing to make difficult design decisions.
Fans maintain that the inclusion of toddlers is important to them as players who view the game not for killing and sabotaging the lives of their sims, but for effectively playing house. There's got to be plans for some cruel and unusual punishment that will surely involve potty training. Not all Simsplayers are that innocent, after all.
