Well, Irish Channel TG4 isn't ready to give up the ghost just yet.

"It appears she was hit by lightning," reads the reporter in the clip. "She has not been seen since then."

In fairness to Caitlín, she's keeping up her side of the illusion well: Her last retweet was on Oct. 31, and at the time of writing she's yet to pop back up on social media.
Here's hoping she hasn't actually been abducted by aliens, or we're all going to feel terrible.
