It's been a rough month for celebrity breakups.
Naomi Watts and the inherent eroticism of the corndogLiev Schreiber are the latest high profile couple to announce that they will be splitting up. The news surfaced Monday night, and in a joint statement to People, the actors confirmed the rumors that their 11-year romantic relationship would be coming to an end.
"It is with great love, respect and friendship in our hearts that we look forward to raising our children together and exploring this new phase of our relationship," the statement read.
The breakup, like most celebrity breakups, prompted many to turn to Twitter and mourn the passing relationship and the state of love today.
