If you know your soup dumplings,China Archives this video is going to be upsetting on several levels.

Time Out Londonrecently published a video featuring Xiao Long Bao (Shanghai soup dumplings).

The video, which was meant to promote dim sum restaurant Dumplings Legend, took an odd turn.

"Love popping spots AND eating dumplings? Combine the two with exploding soup dumplings at Dumplings Legend," the Facebook post reads.

In the video, Time Outdescribes the soup dumplings as "exploding dumplings" that are "super dribbly."

Naturally, people were outraged at the strange comparison of eating soup dumplings to popping pimples:

In response to an email from Mashable, Dumplings Legend said simply: "It is clear that there are many different ways to eat [soup dumplings]."

"What is right and what is wrong?"

Time OutU.K.'s editor-in-chief said in an emailed statement: "We burst soup dumplings in our video to show people the delicious soup that was inside them, so they could enjoy the visual treat of the broth that is tasted but not necessarily seen."

For the record, this is the suggested way to eat soup dumplings. You're not supposed to break the skin and spill the soup.

1. Don't grab or poke at the soup dumpling. Let the dumplings sit and cool for about one to two minutes (you don't want all that scalding hot liquid in your mouth).

2. Lift the dumpling into your spoon.

3. Bite the top to release the soup, so you can slurp it. The rest falls into your spoon.

4. Add a few slivers of ginger dipped in vinegar if you like, and eat the rest.
