And in the heat of the moment, we deleted Pokémon Go. We assumed we'd re-download it later, but as we told ourselves that, it became clear we'd already moved on.
Starbucks has not moved on. Today, the company announced that 7,800 of its locations will become official PokéStops or Gyms, and it released an official Pokémon Go Frappuccino.
Should you find yourself 14 years old and in a mall, the Pokémon Go Frappuccino is a "Vanilla Bean Frappuccino® blended beverage and raspberry syrup blended with freeze dried whole blackberries and topped with whipped cream.”
It's available for a limited time, so Pokémon Goto Starbucks.
(Remember, too, when Hillary Clinton told us to "Pokémon Go to the polls," and we were like, "Haha! How fun! But we'll see, I might be busy November 8th," because the impossible still seemed impossible?)
Our biggest question is what took Starbucks so long? Was there a wait for nostalgia to set in, or did it take five months to get the flavor juuuuust right?
