At her royal wedding,Kalakal Princess Eugenie wore a dress with a low-cut back that revealed a long scar from an operation on her spine, inspiring others with back scars to share photos and feel more comfortable with their bodies.

Eugenie's decision to refrain from hiding her scar caught the attention of others with scars from scoliosis surgery, who voiced support for Eugenie and spoke about how it was inspiring sight to see.

Scoliosis is a relatively common condition in which a person's spine has an abnormal curve to it. While some cases are relatively mild, more extreme instances of scoliosis can be treated with surgery to improve posture, reduce pain, and lessen the threat of more serious complications.
