Newlywed Faizan Patel, who married his wife Sana in December, was forced to embark on their picturesque Italian honeymoon alone last week after Sana realized she'd lost her passport.

Faced with a lonely flight, he first turned to a sheet of printer paper with Sana's face on it for companionship. (Hope no one else sat in that seat!)

Don't give up on romance just yet, though: there still might be hope for a two-person honeymoon. In a last-ditch effort to get Sana to Italy, Patel tweeted at Sushma Swaraj, India's minister of external affairs. Miraculously, she responded — and helped Sana secure a replacement passport as well as a spot to apply for a new visa.

Patel isn't the first lovebird to honeymoon alone in recent weeks. Last month, Huma Mobin bravely went to Greece with just her in-laws after her husband's visa didn't arrive in time for the trip.
