Photographer Jacob Peters went to great lengths to shoot a client's proposal. It just turned out that it wasn't his client at all.
An aspiring husband contacted Peters,Double Cross (1996) owner of JP Photography, to shoot his upcoming proposal at Whitaker's Point, a popular crag in the Arkansas Ozark Forest.

According to a Facebook post on JP Photography, about 20 minutes after the scheduled proposal time of 6 a.m., a couple arrived.
They took in the view, the man proposed, pictures were taken, it was all very sweet. Peters packed up and let them enjoy the sunrise together.
He headed home and texted his client, "congratulations, the photos are beautiful."
The client basically responded with "uhh we didn't see you... we were a little late."
They were more like an hour late. And the pictures were of a guy in a blue sweater, whereas the client was in a blue flannel. Oops.
Peters didn't charge the client, and took to Facebook to find the couple who he actually didphotograph.
About two days later, they found the him:
The couple was thrilled and shocked to find the photos-- especially because they had actually hired a photographer themselves, but he had backed out the night before.
You can actually see Peters in the background of a picture David's fiancée took on the crag:
You can see all the photos from the engagement, as well as Peters' story about the whole affair, on JP Photography's Facebook page.
